Communicate and inspire love of nature and biodiversity conservation to the young generation |
The program is not simply an extracurricular activity, but also a continuous educational journey, arousing emotions, improving understanding and sowing awareness of nature conservation for children, the future generation of the country. The special feature of the program is the clever integration of communication messages on the occasion of International Day for Conservation of Nature (July 28) and International Tiger Conservation Day (July 29) into a series of experiential activities, with a lively, close and age-appropriate approach for children.
Currently, the world has only 6 tiger subspecies, all of which are on the IUCN Endangered list. In Vietnam, the Indochinese tiger is almost extinct in the wild. The main reasons for the decline are illegal hunting for skin, bones, teeth and claws, for medicine, jewelry or display purposes, and habitat loss due to deforestation. The trade and use of tiger products still takes place in many countries, including Vietnam.
The Central Coastal Nature Museum is currently displaying real tiger specimens, which have been preserved using scientific techniques to preserve the species' natural shape, size, and color. This helps to combine education and communication to raise awareness of biodiversity conservation for the community, especially the younger generation.

The representative of the Central Coastal Nature Museum said that in the Museum's development strategy, communication and community education, especially for children, are always given top priority. On the occasion of two important international days, the Museum wishes to convey the message of nature protection not only through slogans, but also through concrete actions, from saving electricity to not littering, not hunting wild animals, not cutting down forests...
In the context of climate change and biodiversity crisis that are seriously threatening the future of the earth, the role of natural museums is not only limited to preservation and display, but needs to go further, becoming "inspiration stations" about the living environment for the community, especially for young people. The Central Coastal Natural Museum is gradually realizing this goal with a soft, creative, and humane approach, focusing on in-depth educational communication activities.
