After many years of struggling to make a living in the South, Mr. Vu Xuan Thieu, born in 1990, in Bang Trang village, Truc Ninh commune, decided to return to his hometown to start a business in aluminum and glass production and construction. Mr. Thieu said: “After graduating from high school, I went to the South to learn the aluminum and glass profession, studying and working to accumulate experience. At that time, I realized that the demand for glass doors and civil aluminum and glass in my hometown was very large but had not been properly exploited. In 2018, I decided to return to my hometown to open a factory.”
On an area of over 200m², Mr. Thieu's aluminum and glass workshop specializes in processing and installing all kinds of doors, partitions, and finished glass for civil works, houses, and factories. With diligence, hard work, and a keen sense of the market, his workshop is growing, and his products are chosen by many consumers. On average, each year, his facility sells about 10,000 m³ of finished glass, with a revenue of over 1 billion VND, creating jobs for many local workers with an average income of about 7-8 million VND/person/month.

Mr. Thieu shared: “In the early days of opening the factory, I encountered many difficulties in terms of capital and market. Luckily, the Youth Union and the commune government supported me and introduced me to a loan of 200 million VND from the fund for creating jobs for young people. Thanks to that, I was able to buy more modern machinery and expand the scale of production. In the coming time, I will continue to search for and expand the market and scale to create more jobs for local people.”
Like Mr. Thieu, after traveling to many places to look for job opportunities, Mr. Vu Dinh Kien, Duong Thien village also decided to return to his hometown to develop the economy and satisfy his passion for agriculture. Mr. Kien shared: “Graduated from Hanoi University of Agriculture, having experienced many different jobs, but my passion for rice has never faded. Looking at the abandoned fields, people gradually leaving farming, I feel sorry and am more determined to “paint green to the village fields”.
Although he knew it was not an easy choice, especially in a market economy and increasingly severe natural disasters, Mr. Kien was still determined and not discouraged. In 2017, Mr. Kien established Truc Ninh Agricultural Cooperative. Initially, the Cooperative only had 5 hectares of production land and limited facilities, but with his will and daring spirit, Mr. Kien continuously learned techniques, boldly rented land, and accumulated ineffective fields to expand the scale of the Cooperative.
Up to now, Mr. Kien's cooperative has developed 10 hectares of direct production and 40 hectares of linkage, with a purchasing output of 250 - 400 tons of rice/crop, supplying the market with 400 tons of various types of rice/year, mainly fragrant Bac rice. In addition, Mr. Kien has also boldly invested in modern drying warehouses, using drones to spray pesticides, along with a closed system of plows, harvesters, and dryers to help reduce costs and increase productivity. In particular, the drying oven has a capacity of 20 tons/batch, and can dry about 800 tons of rice per year, meeting the great demand of farmers in the region.
Each year, the model generates a profit of 700-800 million VND, while also creating seasonal jobs for dozens of workers in the commune. Currently, the cooperative has also successfully built the Hoang Thanh fragrant rice brand that meets the provincial 3-star OCOP standard.

Mr. Kien shared: “At first, many people did not believe in high-tech agriculture, but I think that modern agriculture requires a change in thinking. With the support of the Youth Entrepreneurship Fund with a loan of 100 million VND, I was able to invest in machinery and gradually confirm the right direction. My greatest joy is to apply the knowledge I have learned to contribute to the enrichment of my homeland.”
Not only is he a good young man in production and business, Mr. Vu Dinh Kien is also a village chief, a young party member who is exemplary, decisive, dedicated to his work and actively contributes to local movements. He often shares his experiences with young union members, encourages them to boldly try their hand in the field of high-tech agriculture, and at the same time provides technical support and product consumption for many poor households in the commune.
With his efforts and contributions, for many years, Mr. Kien has been recognized as a good farmer and businessman at all levels. Recently, he was one of the typical advanced examples honored at the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress of Ninh Binh province, term 2025-2030.
Mr. Tran Van Dao, Secretary of the Youth Union of Truc Ninh commune, commented: “Mr. Thieu and Mr. Kien are shining examples of the pioneering and creative spirit of Truc Ninh youth. They not only enrich themselves but also contribute to the transformation of the rural economic structure, create jobs and inspire young people.”
According to statistics of Truc Ninh Commune Youth Union, in recent years, the youth movement for economic development has been strongly implemented, attracting dozens of youth union members to participate. Many effective production and business models have been born in fields such as agriculture, livestock, mechanics, trade and services. To encourage young people to start their own businesses, the Commune Youth Union regularly coordinates with sectors and the Social Policy Bank to organize training courses, career guidance, transfer of science and technology, and at the same time support preferential loans to help young people develop production and business.
With the spirit of dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, especially with the encouragement and support of the local government and the Youth Union, the youth economic movement in Truc Ninh will develop more strongly, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and prosperous homeland.
