Specifically, on September 18, at Ham Yen Traffic Police Station (Ao Ve village, Thai Hoa commune, Tuyen Quang province), Market Management Team No. 2 (Market Management Department of Tuyen Quang province) together with Ham Yen Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police stopped and searched the cargo compartment of the passenger car with license plate 23E-002.22 driven by Pham Van Cong.
Upon inspection, the authorities discovered in the cargo compartment 3,500 large sausage packages of 700g (equivalent to 2,450kg); 40 small sausage packages of 2.5kg (100kg); 48 corn flour packages of 2.5kg (120kg); 106 dumpling packages of 2.5kg (265kg) and 36 meatball packages of 2.5kg (90kg). All of the above goods had no labels or accompanying documents; the packaging did not show the origin, place of production or source. Mr. Pham Van Cong could not present invoices, vouchers or any related papers.
Currently, Market Management Team No. 2 has drawn up a record and temporarily detained all goods for further verification and handling according to regulations. The incident is also part of the Plan for peak inspection and supervision of food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2025 that the province is implementing.
In the coming time, the authorities will continue to strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure food safety and prevent similar violations.
