Propagating the Party's ideology, guidelines and major orientations for the capital's youth

Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of December 25, the Hanoi Youth Union organized a conference to study, disseminate and propagate the guiding ideology and major orientation of the Party and General Secretary To Lam on "New Era - Era of national rise"

At the conference, nearly 500 union members and young people in the capital were also trained on the topic "Skills in using the Internet, social networks and preventing harmful cultural products on cyberspace".

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh said that in his speech at the recent 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, General Secretary To Lam had conveyed many beliefs and expectations to the youth: Whether the country can firmly enter the new era, the era of rising up or not, whether by 2045 it can stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as President Ho Chi Minh wished and the aspirations of the entire nation or not, depends largely on the contribution of the youth force - the future generation of the country, those who will follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers to shoulder the task of building and defending the Fatherland.

"In that context, the role of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union cadres is extremely important. You are the ones who directly convey information, orientate ideology, contribute to unifying awareness, arousing the desire to contribute and national pride in each member and youth. Therefore, the first task is that the Youth Union chapters at all levels need to propagate and educate to unify the awareness and actions of the youth about the new era and the mission and responsibility of the young generation in that era" - Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union emphasized.

Besides, in the era of information explosion, with the strong development of social media, young people are a resilient force with creative minds and the ability to quickly apply digital technology into practice; engaging in technology activities and digital transformation has become a natural and profound movement in the lives of young people.

Nearly 500 youth union members in the capital were thoroughly informed and propagated about the Party's ideology, guidelines and major orientations.

Therefore, the Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union said that the Youth Union and Association need to focus on implementing activities to create an environment to raise awareness, change the mindset and habits of young people about digital transformation, social media and cyberspace; to create a healthy, positive and civilized information environment that contributes to the stable and sustainable development of society.

At the conference, nearly 500 union members, youths, and key cadres of 106 Youth Unions under the City Youth Union listened to the communication on 2 topics. At the same time, key Youth Union cadres also focused on researching, exchanging, and discussing 2 topics, to have more materials, information for propaganda, orientation, and unification of awareness and action of youth and children in the current period. On that basis, draw out methods and approaches suitable to the characteristics of each locality and unit; further promote the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work, meeting the requirements set out in the new situation.
