The Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology signed a program of coordination in science, technology and innovation.

On June 16, the Provincial People's Committee held a signing ceremony for a program of coordination in science , technology and innovation (S&I) with the Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST) for the period 2023-2030.

Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony were comrades: Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Tran Hong Ha, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Duc Thanh, Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary. In addition, there was the participation of leaders of central ministries, departments and branches; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and related departments and branches.

At the ceremony, on the basis of the agreement between the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening cooperation in directing and operating science and technology activities in the locality, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam agreed to sign a program of coordination of activities on science, technology and innovation for the period 2023-2030 to strengthen coordination between the two sides in directing, operating, implementing directions, goals, and tasks of science, technology and innovation to practically and effectively serve local socio-economic development; Concentrate the province's resources and the focused, key support of the Ministry of Science and Technology to promote research, development, application and transfer of science and technology, promote innovation and creative startups, contribute to strongly transforming the growth model in depth, create breakthroughs to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of the economy, improve the quality of life and people's welfare, firmly ensure national defense and security, and protect the ecological environment.

After the signing ceremony, the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology will coordinate to deploy national-level science, technology and innovation tasks in our province to support the province to continue to inherit and promote achievements, deploy key tasks according to Resolution No. 115/NQ-CP dated August 31, 2018 of the Government on implementing a number of specific mechanisms and policies to support Ninh Thuan in developing stable production and people's lives in the period 2018-2023 and 8 key science, technology and innovation programs of the province that have been issued. Coordinate to promote rapid and strong development of science and technology potential to meet the requirements of transforming the economic growth model of the province, contributing to the development of science and technology potential in the province and the whole country. Support the province to register trademarks or geographical indications for at least one potential agricultural product for export to key foreign markets. Support to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and role of science, technology, and innovation management in the province, aiming to contribute to a strong transformation of the growth model in depth, creating a breakthrough in improving productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of the economy. At the same time, effectively implement state management of the fields of science, technology, and innovation activities in the province.
