The Russian military website Military Review reported that the Russian army (RFAF) on the northern front of Pokrovsk city, is currently not only holding its position near Myrnohrad and the area as far north as the village of Kucherov Yar, but has also established a fairly stable corridor leading there.

According to Ukrainian sources, the Russian army has maintained a significant part of its tactical infiltration east of Dobropillia. Meanwhile, Rybar channel said that the situation near Dobropolye is developing in Russia's favor, as they are said to have stopped the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army (AFU), turning the tables and regaining the initiative.
3.jpg
Ukrainian military analysts admit that, by deploying forces from the 8th Army, located next to the 51st Army, as well as part of its own spontaneous "marine force", the RFAF effectively eliminated the direct threat to the 51st Army, which was operating west of the Kazeny Torets River.
4.jpg
As mentioned above, this was largely due to the successful offensive operations of the forward units of the RFAF Army Group Center, in the Chervonyi Lyman-Novoekonomicheskoe-Mirnohrad triangle.

The AFU commanders in Pokrovsk admit that the Russian offensive in this direction, which began more than two months ago, has turned out to be an operational success, as the Russian troops have penetrated more than 30 km into the AFU defenses and expanded the area of this penetration by more than 27 km. And now it has a very clear and definite operational impact on the situation in two directions near Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka.
5.jpg
Fierce fighting in the northern part of the Pokrovsk front remains the most notable event at the moment. Judging by the developments, it is likely that the main objective of the RFAF in this sector of the front is to stop the AFU attacks, which are determined to cut off the so-called Dobropillya salient.
7.jpg
The military news site Anna News said that the RFAF encirclement is closing in on Ukrainian troops in Dobropolye, after they took control of the village of Dorozhnje at the tip of the thrust. The RFAF is advancing and has penetrated the area north of Nykanorivka.
8.jpg
The AFU's logistical problems in this settlement began long before the fall of Dorozhnje. Even before the fall of Dorozhnje, the only reliable supply route had been cut off by the Russian army, forcing them to move through forests and open fields, under heavy Russian fire.
13-4683.jpg
The fall of Dorozhnje deprived the AFU garrison of Nykanorivka of its only settlement, which could serve as a supply center. Now the AFU could no longer stop the Russian advance near the village. Once Nykanorivka was completely captured, the overall situation for the Russians north of Pokrovsk would improve significantly, along the entire thrust from Mirnograd to Dobropolye.
10.jpg
In the Pokrovsk area, according to Readovka, over the past week the RFAF has switched from a “slow and steady” approach to a lightning attack, quickly breaking through targets in Pokrovsk. They attacked an industrial complex in the northwest and surrounded an apartment complex on the other side of the city.
11.jpg
The shock troops of the RFAF 2nd Guards Army, instead of advancing steadily, switched to a rapid attack on the Ukrainian garrison in Pokrovsk. Control of the residential area west of Zashchitnikov Ukrainy Street allowed the Russians to launch an attack on the industrial complex in the northwestern suburbs. This opened the way to the village of Grishino, which would close the encirclement of both cities.
12.jpg
Meanwhile, on the other side of Pokrovsk, Russian troops were pounding Ukrainian positions from the Lazurny and Shakhtarsky districts. The goal was to encircle apartment buildings on both sides of Shakhtostroiteley Avenue. The AFU was forced to split up and defend each block.

The increased Russian military activity in Pokrovsk is not accidental. It is directly related to the fact that the RFAF 51st Army repelled Ukrainian counterattacks near Dobropolye and began to restore the situation in their favor north of Pokrovsk.
6-9057.jpg
Now the RFAF Center Group in Pokrovsk has forced the AFU to face a dilemma: either continue its attrition attacks north or defend its key defensive stronghold. Time is running out for the AFU.
15.jpg
Now the AFU is essentially trying to dislodge Russian units from their positions, despite heavy losses. Just a week ago, Kiev admitted that the AFU had lost at least 10,000 troops in the Dobropillya area, but they have not been able to gain an advantage, despite going all-in on the numbers there.
