Crowds of people lined both sides of the road where the army was passing. Some came as early as 7am to reserve a spot.

The atmosphere was solemn as if it was a great festival day.

Near the gathering point on Trang Tien Street, the soldiers smiled and high-fived people standing on both sides of the street.

The longest parade route is from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to the assembly point at Quan Ngua Sports Palace (Van Cao Street) with a length of nearly 4 km.

Here, the marching groups still maintained their proud demeanor even though many soldiers' faces were drenched in sweat.

In particular, every time the female marching group passes by, the cheers get louder to encourage the "steel roses".

At the entrance to the Quan Ngua Sports Palace, male soldiers of the Militia and Self-Defense Force were given mineral water by the people to quench their thirst.

The parade force touched hands with the children, made heart shapes... to respond to the love and enthusiastic cheers of the people on Van Cao street.

Nguyen Minh Thu (Military Band) was accompanied by a close friend who brought milk and a hand fan to wait at the assembly point to give her strength. On the evening of August 21, although the weather was quite favorable, the long parade route made the soldiers tired.

Before leaving by car, the soldiers stayed to take pictures with the young people who came to cheer.
