
Helping women develop comprehensively and build happy families starts with supporting members in economic development, poverty reduction and improving the quality of life. The Provincial Women's Union has chaired and effectively implemented the movements "Helping poor women have addresses" and "Women doing good business", helping thousands of members confidently rise up and escape poverty sustainably. In the period of 2021-2025, the Union at all levels coordinated to help 1,790 poor, near-poor and disadvantaged women's households rise up and escape poverty. Along with that, nearly 118,000 women's households have access to social policy credit capital, with a total capital of over 3,450 billion VND. More than 55 training courses, vocational training, science and technology transfer, and start-up were organized; helping about 1,300 women have stable jobs.
The movement to support women in starting a business continues to be promoted, opening up a more sustainable development direction for women. Notably, Project 939 "Supporting women in starting a business in the period 2017-2025" has been effectively implemented by the Women's Union at all levels. Thereby, 120 training courses have been organized for nearly 10,000 women, supporting the development of more than 400 ideas and start-up projects; nearly 200 women's households have been helped with loans, legal advice, brand building, and product promotion. Many competitions and festivals have been organized enthusiastically, such as: "Creative women start-ups to promote local resources", "Creative women start-ups and green transformation"... Hundreds of new models have been born, contributing to job creation, increasing income, and reducing the unemployment rate in the province to only 2.1%.
Implementing Project 01 "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers by 2030", from 2023 to now, the Women's Union at all levels has organized 12 conferences, trained more than 800 people; consulted and supported the establishment of 12 cooperatives and 11 cooperative groups managed by women. Agricultural and food processing cooperatives managed by women have brought income and created jobs for hundreds of female workers, especially in rural and mountainous areas.

Quang Ninh women are also equipped with knowledge and skills to master their lives through Project 938 "Propaganda, education, mobilization, and support for women to participate in solving a number of social issues related to women in the period 2017-2027". Many models have been effectively implemented such as "Educating parents in child care and education", "Safety for women and children", "Practical actions for women and children"... Many training and communication courses have been deployed to help women improve their legal awareness and skills to respond to situations of violence, abuse, and protect children and themselves.
With Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children", Quang Ninh is one of the most effective localities in the country. Up to now, the province has established 71 community communication teams, 56 "Leaders of Change" Clubs, organized 200 communication sessions, 20 training courses with nearly 10,000 participants. Many products and creative models of ethnic minority children have won high prizes at national competitions. Models such as "Community Communication Team" and "Leaders of Change" Club have become highlights, welcomed, replicated, creating clear changes in awareness and behavior, contributing to eliminating gender stereotypes, promoting gender equality, building safe, prosperous and happy families.
From 2023, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to implement Project 1889 on improving nutrition and physical strength for children in mountainous and ethnic minority areas. The project will be implemented in 64 disadvantaged communes, focusing on 16 communes with the highest malnutrition rates in the province. To date, the Union has established 21 models for child care and education, organized 118 training classes, 8 competitions, and distributed 14,000 propaganda leaflets. The rate of underweight and stunted children has decreased significantly; the awareness of pregnant women and mothers with young children about nutrition and health care has improved.
Along with movement activities, the work of training cadres is considered the foundation for a strong organization of the Union. Implementing Project 1893 "Training cadres and civil servants of the Women's Union at all levels and Women's Union Branch Chairmen for the period 2019-2025", the whole province has organized 220 training courses for nearly 20,000 cadres, innovating flexible learning methods, combining direct and online learning. 100% of the current Women's Union cadres are proficient in IT skills, applying digital technology in their work.
