
On October 15, in the capital city of Basseterre, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Cuba and the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis Le Quang Long presented his credentials to Governor General of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis Dame Marcella Liburd.
At the letter of credence presentation ceremony, Ambassador Le Quang Long respectfully conveyed the regards and congratulations of President Luong Cuong to Governor General Marcella Liburd and the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis; affirming that Vietnam attaches importance to and wishes to promote the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Saint Kitts and Nevis.
After the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Le Quang Long had meetings with Prime Minister of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis Terrance Drew and worked with Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kaye Bass.
At the meeting with Prime Minister of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis Terrance Drew, Ambassador Le Quang Long conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The two sides discussed measures to strengthen cooperation in the coming time, especially in the field of agriculture . The Ambassador emphasized that Vietnam is willing to share experiences and encourage businesses of the two countries to cooperate in investing, producing and exporting agricultural products, including rice - a strong product of Vietnam.
Working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Ambassador Le Quang Long and Permanent Deputy Minister Kaye Bass agreed to promote practical cooperation mechanisms such as submitting to the leaders of the two countries to consider expanding cooperation and technical exchange in the fields of agriculture, tourism, renewable energy and geothermal; enhancing people-to-people exchange, granting scholarships to students...
On this occasion, Ambassador Le Quang Long expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis for its valuable support for Vietnam in its candidacy and election to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2026-2028 term, considering this a vivid manifestation of solidarity and political trust between the two countries.
The meetings and working sessions of Ambassador Le Quang Long during the working trip contributed to strengthening the foundation of the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Saint Kitts and Nevis, opening up prospects for specific and substantive cooperation in many fields, in line with the interests and potentials of both countries.
