Second after Vietnam is South Korea. The total amount of instant noodles consumed last year in this country of 51.57 million people was 4.1 billion packets. Thus, the average instant noodle consumption per capita in South Korea is 79.2 packets.

Coming in third is Thailand with an average instant noodle consumption per capita of 57 packets, followed by Nepal with 54 packets and Indonesia at 52 packets. Japan and Malaysia both have an average instant noodle consumption per capita of 47 packets.

Per capita instant noodle consumption tends to be high in Asian countries with a traditional noodle-eating culture. In contrast, the figure remains below 10 packets in many European countries.
