Vietcombank sponsors 10 billion VND to build educational facilities in Hai Duong

Over the past 5 years, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) has spent about 63 billion VND to sponsor social security activities in Hai Duong.

On the morning of June 15, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong organized a program to receive funding for construction of works serving educational activities in the province sponsored by the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ).

Comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, along with representatives of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of Vietcombank and a number of related departments, branches and localities attended.

Speaking at the program, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang congratulated Vietcombank on its strong development domestically and internationally, and sincerely thanked the bank for always joining hands with Hai Duong province in caring for education in particular and social security in general.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, pledged to always accompany and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Over the years, Hai Duong province has always paid special attention to the education sector. However, the budget for this sector has not met expectations. Therefore, Vietcombank's continued sponsorship of the two schools on this occasion is very valuable.

Hai Duong province commits to direct relevant units to use the funding sources for the right purposes, most economically and effectively, to bring benefits to the educational development of the province in general and to benefit students of the two schools in particular.

Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang presented the painting to the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank affirmed that the bank pays great attention to social security and education. This attention is even more meaningful for a locality with a tradition of studiousness like Hai Duong province.

Mr. Luong Van Viet, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong, pledged to supervise and direct the use of funding sources as quickly as possible, in accordance with regulations, and to soon put quality projects into use.

Over the past 5 years, Vietcombank has supported social security work in Hai Duong with about 63 billion VND, most of which was spent on education. 10 billion VND was sponsored for Tan Binh Secondary School (Hai Duong City) and Thanh Tung Kindergarten (Thanh Mien).

With the above meaningful sponsorship, Vietcombank hopes that the two schools will have more spacious facilities, more favorable teaching and learning conditions to meet the learning needs of students, and continue to achieve the best results in the educational movement. Vietcombank commits to continue to accompany and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Thanh Tung Kindergarten is located in Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien), the hometown of the late Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang, the first General Director of the State Bank of Vietnam...

Tan Binh Secondary School is one of the schools with the largest number of students in Hai Duong province. It still lacks many classrooms and has to divide students into morning and afternoon classes.
