Vietjet Air officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with OpenAirlines
Application of advanced technology
Under the agreement with OpenAirlines, Vietjet Air becomes the first airline in Vietnam to apply the SkyBreathe® platform, a solution based on artificial intelligence (AI) and big data algorithms, designed to analyze flight data and optimize fuel use. The SkyBreathe® system collects and synthesizes information from multiple sources, including aircraft data and fuel reports, with a database of over 21 million flights – considered the largest fuel efficiency data warehouse currently available to airlines.
The signing of the cooperation opens a new chapter in the application of advanced technology in the aviation industry.
SkyBreathe® uses AI and big data algorithms to analyze flight data, helping Vietjet Air optimize fuel usage
The system collects and aggregates information from multiple sources such as aircraft data and fuel reports into a single platform with data from over 21 million flights.
The SkyBreathe® 360° platform not only identifies fuel-saving opportunities, but also provides specific recommendations for each department, from pilots to flight operations management teams. This contributes to promoting close coordination between departments, improving operational efficiency and simultaneously reducing fuel consumption by up to 2%, reducing emissions to the environment by more than 96 thousand tons of CO2 per year.
Personal assistance tools for pilots
Vietjet Air will deploy the SkyBreathe® MyFuelCoach app for all pilots. This app provides a personal tool to help pilots make informed decisions during flight operations, thereby contributing to the development of a fuel-saving culture across the entire airline. The combination of modern technology and real-life user experience promises to bring outstanding efficiency in optimizing fuel efficiency and reducing negative impacts on the environment.
Mr. Alexandre Feray, CEO of OpenAirlines, spoke at the signing ceremony.
