Foreign investors extend net selling streak for 14 sessions before upgrade period
At the end of the trading session on September 26, the domestic stock market recorded a correction when the VN-Index lost 5.4 points, falling back to the 1,660 mark.

Another noteworthy point comes from the foreign investors' actions, when they sold strongly with a value of approximately 2,200 billion VND, almost equal to the level of the previous session.
Selling pressure is concentrated in financial stocks and the Vingroup "duo".
Of which, SSI leads the list of net sold stocks with a value of about 320 billion VND.
Other codes such as SHS, VIC, FPT, VHM,SHB , VIX, HPG also suffered strong capital withdrawals. On the contrary, net buying power was quite limited.
In the whole market, this was the 14th consecutive session of net selling by foreign investors with a net selling value of up to VND20,800 billion. This move took place right before the announcement of the market upgrade results in early October, making domestic investors even more cautious.
Be careful with 'greenwashed' products
According to news from the National Competition Commission, in recent years, the concept of green consumption has become increasingly familiar to people and businesses in Vietnam.
The trend of choosing environmentally friendly products, low emissions, using recycled materials or those of sustainable origin is gradually being encouraged and spreading strongly.
Consumers today are willing to pay more for products labeled “green,” not only for personal health benefits but also for shared responsibility to the environment and community.
However, along with those positive signals, there are also acts in the market that take advantage of the preference for green products to promote dishonestly.
The above phenomenon is internationally known as Greenwashing, translated into Vietnamese with many terms such as: "green advertising", "fake green advertising", "greenwashing".
One of the most common forms of greenwashing is when a company uses ambiguous imagery and language to make its products appear environmentally friendly. Phrases like “eco,” “planet-friendly,” “recyclable,” and “biodegradable” are often prominently featured on packaging, implying a commitment to sustainability.
However, according to the National Competition Commission, if these claims are not accompanied by verifiable evidence, scientific reports or legal certification, they are just marketing slogans.
For the first time, the stock market has two female billionaire entrepreneurs.
As of September 26, the total assets of the 10 richest women in the Vietnamese stock market reached nearly 157,000 billion VND, a sharp increase compared to the end of 2024.
In particular, the notable increase comes from the assets of Ms. Pham Thu Huong - Vice President of Vingroup, also the wife of Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong - the richest man in Vietnam.

With 170.61 million VIC shares, Ms. Huong is holding assets of nearly 28,000 billion VND - an increase of nearly 1,000 billion VND compared to yesterday and an increase of nearly 21,000 billion VND compared to the beginning of this year.
This increase in assets has made Ms. Huong the second woman on the Vietnamese stock market with total assets exceeding a billion USD.
Previously, this list only had billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of Vietjet Air. Ms. Thao's assets were nearly 32,000 billion VND.
A 'foreign' securities company increased its capital to more than 4,550 billion VND
KIS Vietnam Securities Joint Stock Company has just announced the plan to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on October 15.
Accordingly, at this congress, KIS Vietnam presented to shareholders for approval the plan to offer shares to existing shareholders with an expected number of 78.9 million shares. The charter capital after the successful offering will be increased to 4,551 billion VND.

The specific plan presented by KIS Vietnam to shareholders is to offer more than 78.9 million shares, corresponding to the ratio of 100:20.98 (that is, shareholders owning 100 shares will have the right to buy an additional 20.98 shares). The number of additional shares issued is not subject to transfer restrictions.
With the offering price of VND10,000/share, KIS Vietnam expects to collect more than VND789 billion. The capital will be added to business operations, serving the expansion of business operations. If approved, the general meeting of shareholders will authorize the board of directors to decide in detail on the use of the proceeds from the offering.
Ho Chi Minh City checks medical history and vaccinates children
To proactively prevent dangerous infectious diseases for children, on the afternoon of September 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control announced that it had just issued a plan to check medical history and provide vaccinations for children entering preschools, primary schools and social protection facilities.
This activity will start from the 2025-2026 school year and will be carried out annually.

The biggest goal of Ho Chi Minh City is to ensure that 100% of children have their vaccination history checked and at least 90% of children who have not had enough doses are vaccinated to prevent disease.
This activity applies to all children enrolled in nursery groups, kindergartens (public and non-public), first graders in primary schools and children under 7 years old in social protection facilities in the area.
Vaccines in the expanded immunization program that are prioritized for review and injection include: measles, measles-rubella (MR), polio (bOPV, IPV), Japanese encephalitis (JE) and other vaccines according to updated instructions of the Ministry of Health.
HCDC emphasizes that full vaccination with these vaccines is the most effective solution to proactively protect children's health and prevent the spread of diseases in the school environment.
