According to information from the partner, Vietnam Airlines is one of many businesses in the world that use the services of this unit that were affected. Part of the customer data processed on this system may have been accessed illegally.

Vietnam Airlines has urgently coordinated with authorities and cybersecurity experts.

However, up to now, Vietnam Airlines has confirmed that sensitive data such as credit cards, payment information, passwords, itineraries, passports and Lotusmiles account balances of customers are still securely protected. The airline's internal information technology systems are not affected.

Vietnam Airlines will notify and guide customers on necessary support measures via email. The airline recommends that customers be wary of fake forms, suspicious emails or calls impersonating Vietnam Airlines and not share personal information or OTP codes, and not log into unauthenticated systems.
