On the evening of September 20, Danang University of Technology organized the event "Festival to honor valedictorians and welcome new students of the 2025 class - BKSTART" with the participation of nearly 4,000 new students and more than 1,000 students from previous classes. The festival atmosphere was vibrant with many activities, solemn and youthful, leaving many impressions on new students.

At the program, the school honored Dinh Nhu Duy Tue (class 25T-KHDL, majoring in information technology, specializing in data science and artificial intelligence) as the new valedictorian of the whole school with 29.75 points; Tue was awarded a scholarship of 40 million VND. In addition, 38 valedictorians of all majors were also honored and received scholarships of 10 million VND. In particular, Nguyen Ngoc Minh, a former student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang City), won a national prize in information technology, was admitted directly to the school, and was awarded a scholarship of 50 million VND.

Another highlight of the festival was the launch of the dDUT - Digital DUT mobile application, a comprehensive digital solution for learning, research and management activities, aiming to bring a modern and convenient experience to students, lecturers and school staff, contributing to promoting digital transformation in higher education .

Speaking at the program, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Principal of the school, emphasized that the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang is one of the leading technical schools in the country, training more than 18,500 undergraduate students, 400 graduate students and more than 60 doctoral students. The school currently trains 41 undergraduate majors, 18 master's majors, 16 doctoral majors, including many key majors leading the trend such as artificial intelligence, microchip design, high-speed railway, energy management, etc.
"With the motto of putting students at the center, the school is constantly improving learning and training conditions for students. In the coming time, the school will continue to upgrade lecture halls, laboratories, and dormitories to bring the best learning environment for students," Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu emphasized.
During the program, thousands of students joined in the vibrant music night with the participation of the band Buc Tuong and singer Pham Anh Khoa, creating an explosive atmosphere, opening an exciting new school year.

In 2025, the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang was assigned by the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training to preside over the Network of Excellent Training Centers and Talents 4.0 on artificial intelligence and semiconductor technology.

Previously, on September 19, the Board of Directors of the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang awarded a special architectural diploma to student Do Thi Tra, who passed away in July 2024 due to kidney failure ( Thanh Nien reported). Due to illness, she was not able to complete the foreign language output certificate, which is a mandatory condition for graduation recognition. Dr. Huynh Phuong Nam, Vice Principal representing the school, awarded the diploma to Tra's family in Le Thuy commune, Quang Tri province.
