Due to the complicated developments of storm Bualoi, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh has directed localities and educational institutions to let students in the province stay home on September 29 to ensure safety.
Following the direction of the province and the education sector, schools have promptly notified students and parents through class groups. Depending on the weather and the reality in each locality, educational institutions can consider extending the school break accordingly.
The Department of Education and Training requires units to be on duty 24/7; closely monitor storm forecast information; proactively move files, documents, equipment, tables and chairs to safe places; and at the same time check and reinforce school facilities, especially those that are degraded and at risk of being unsafe during heavy rains, floods, and landslides.
During the school break, schools continue to promote propaganda and education on disaster risk prevention skills; guide students and parents on drowning, landslide and traffic safety prevention; establish close communication channels with parents to manage students and minimize risks caused by natural disasters.
