On September 26, information from Thu Duc Regional Medical Center (HCMC) said that on September 26, this unit coordinated with Long Binh Ward People's Committee and Long Binh Ward Police to go to the field to record the incident related to information from people about suspected poisoning after eating baguettes.
"According to statistics, from September 22 to September 26, 65 students of VS School were absent from school due to symptoms such as stomachache, vomiting, diarrhea, etc., of which 8 were hospitalized at 3 hospitals near the school. Up to now, the health of the children has basically stabilized," said a representative of Thu Duc Regional Medical Center.
After gathering information, the children said they ate bread from bread carts around the school and surrounding areas. There were about 3-4 baguette carts scattered around the residential area, suspected to be owned by the same person.
"We will continue to monitor, coordinate with relevant authorities and report the incident to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health for further clarification," said a representative of the Thu Duc Regional Medical Center.
