"Yes, as I said, I still think Man Utd need one or two more signings.
"I can see what Amorim is doing and things are getting better for this team. I think they will be in the top five," Wayne Rooney expressed his opinion on the BBC's Match of the Day program ahead of the Premier League opening match between Man Utd and Arsenal on August 17.

According to the former England striker, the top 4 of the upcoming season are still familiar names, with Liverpool likely to successfully defend their title, second place continues to belong to Arsenal, and Man City and Chelsea share third and fourth places respectively.
Notably, Wayne Rooney believes Man Utd will finish in 5th place and this will be a breakthrough in the rankings for coach Ruben Amorim and his team when they finished in a shameful 15th place last season.
In addition to the final rankings, Rooney also made a series of predictions about outstanding individuals. He believes that Liverpool's Jeremie Frimpong will be the best signing of the season. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah will successfully defend his Golden Boot title.
Another Kop player, Rio Ngumoha, is expected by Rooney to be the “breakout star of the year”. In terms of new recruits, he believes Leeds United will be the highest ranked team of the newly promoted trio (alongside Burnley and Sunderland).

Meanwhile, former Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand also predicted the result of the "Red Devils" opening match against Arsenal this weekend. "I predict a draw, I think the final score will be 1-1," Rio Ferdinand expressed.
However, Gary Neville disagreed with Rio Ferdinand when he said that Arsenal would win at Old Trafford. "I think the result will be 2-1 in favor of Arsenal," Gary Neville affirmed.
