The first commune in the country to provide free health check-ups for all people

From July 19, more than 6,600 people in Minh Chau commune (Hanoi) will receive free health check-ups and medicine.

On July 19, at Minh Chau island commune ( Hanoi ), a free health check-up program for all people took place. Minh Chau is the first locality in the country to implement health check-ups for all people after operating the 2-level local government model.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Secretary of the Minh Chau Commune Party Committee, said that the journey to provide health care for all people in 2025 was organized by the Minh Chau Commune Party Committee and People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, central hospitals and accompanying units, to concretize the direction of General Secretary To Lam on organizing periodic health check-ups at least once a year for all people - a breakthrough in community health care in the new era.

"We do not consider this a task of the health sector alone, but the responsibility of the entire political system. This is part of the journey to build a green, civilized, and happy Minh Chau commune," Mr. Tien shared.

More than 6,600 people in Minh Chau commune will receive free medical examination.

The organizers said that more than 6,600 people in Minh Chau commune will be examined in 5 rounds. In the first round, about 1,200 people in priority groups (elderly people, policy families, disadvantaged households, etc.) will be examined. The next rounds will be held in August - September 2025, examining each residential area, ensuring convenience for the people.

Doctors and nurses from many hospitals came to provide free health check-ups for people on Minh Chau island commune.

According to the organizers, the first round of medical examination program has more than 60 doctors, nurses, and technicians from leading hospitals such as: Military Hospital 105, Central Endocrinology Hospital, Central Lung Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, Ministry of Public Security Hospital 19.8, K Hospital, E Hospital, Central Traditional Medicine Hospital, Ba Vi General Hospital... examining people.

More than 1,000 people on Minh Chau island commune received free health check-ups and medicine in the first phase.

People were examined in various specialties: general internal medicine, cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological, digestive, oncological, endocrine, nutritional, vaccination consultation... and given free medicine.

Examination and consultation results will be saved on the commune's People's Health Monitoring System to serve preventive medicine and periodic health care for each person.
