In the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, 8 teams will compete in a round robin format. After this round, the 4 teams with the highest rankings will advance to the semi-finals to compete for the championship. The remaining 4 teams will have to compete for relegation.

On October 8, in the women's category, VTV Binh Dien Long An defeated the weakest team in the tournament, Ho Chi Minh City Club, while Binh Chung Thong Tin made LPBank Ninh Binh suffer its first defeat of the season.

These results also helped VTV Binh Dien Long An and Binh Chung Thong Tin become the last names to make it to the top 4 this year. Previously, LPBank Ninh Binh and VietinBank were the teams that had already secured tickets to the championship round.

Currently, LPBank Ninh Binh and VTV Binh Dien Long An have a record of 5 wins, 1 loss. Binh Chung Thong Tin and VietinBank have the same record of 4 wins, 2 losses and 12 points.

In the relegation group, only Hoa Chat Duc Giang Lao Cai (3 wins, 3 losses) is the only team that can equal the win-loss record of Binh Long Thong Tin and VietinBank. However, they only have 8 points and only 1 match left to play, so they no longer have a chance to compete for the championship.

This is unfortunate because Hoa Chat Duc Giang Lao Cai is a strong team with financial potential, having finished second in the National Volleyball Championship for 5 consecutive years. However, in the first phase of this year, they had a very difficult start when their performance declined and many key players were injured. That is the reason why Mr. "Huyen"'s team had to fall into the relegation group.

While the women's group has been determined, in the men's group, there is still one last spot for the championship team. Currently, 3 teams have booked tickets to the semi-finals: Ho Chi Minh City Police, Border Guard and Tan Cang The Cong. The remaining spot is the competition between LPBank Ninh Binh, Da Nang and Sanest Khanh Hoa (all 2 wins, 4 losses).
