Determining the qualifying round tables for the 2025 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament

On the afternoon of September 16, the organizing committee of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament conducted the draw for the qualifying round of the tournament.

This year, the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025 will be held in two qualifying rounds, including the Northern region ( Hanoi ) and the Southern region (Ho Chi Minh City). The 16 best teams in the qualifying round will qualify for the national finals, taking place in October in Ho Chi Minh City.

The North region has 4 boards

The Northern Regional Qualifiers will take place at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (No. 1 Dai Co Viet, Bach Mai Ward, Hanoi City) from September 26 to 28, 2025. 16 teams are divided into 4 groups, playing a round robin. After the group stage, the 8 strongest teams (4 first-place teams and 4 second-place teams) will enter the quarter-finals.

In the quarter-finals, the 4 winning teams will directly advance to the national finals. The losing teams still have a chance with 2 final spots through the play-off round.

Specifically, the losing teams in quarter-final 1 will meet the losing teams in quarter-final 2 and the losing teams in quarter-final 3 will meet the losing teams in quarter-final 4. Draws in the play-off will go to penalty shootouts to determine the winning team.

According to the draw results, group A includes the following teams: Bac Ninh 1 Trade Union, Vietnam Education Trade Union, Ninh Binh Trade Union, Hai Phong City Trade Union.

Group B includes: VPBank, Dien Bien Trade Union, Hung Yen Trade Union, Hanoi City Trade Union.

Group C includes: Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union, Phu Tho Trade Union, Vietnam Health Trade Union, People's Public Security Trade Union.

Group D includes: Vietnam Bank Trade Union, State Bank Trade Union, Agribank, Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union.

The Southern region has 6 boards.

The Southern region will witness the participation of 24 football teams, competing at Ton Duc Thang University (19 Nguyen Huu Tho, Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and People's Police University (36 Nguyen Huu Tho, Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) from October 9 to 12, 2025.

The teams are divided into 6 groups. The 6 group winners and the 2 best runners-up will advance to the quarter-finals. In total, 10 places in the final round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025 will be determined in this region.

Group A includes teams: Vietnam Maritime Trade Union, Da Nang Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union 2, Trade Union Can Tho city

Group B includes: Becamex Group, Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, Sacombank Trade Union, Gia Lai Trade Union.

Group C includes: Dong Nai 2 Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City 1 Trade Union, Sawaco, Tay Ninh 2 Trade Union.

Group D includes: Dong Nai 1 Trade Union, An Giang Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City 3 Trade Union, Vinh Long Trade Union.

Group E includes: Searefico, Quang Ngai Trade Union, Dong Thap Trade Union, Le Bao Minh.

Group F includes: Khanh Hoa Trade Union, Dong Nai 3 Trade Union, Long An International Port, Tay Ninh 1 Trade Union.

In 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation and Tuoi Tre newspaper jointly organized the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament. Entering its third year of organization, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual and prestigious playground for workers, civil servants and laborers across the country, contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.

This year's tournament is honored to receive the support of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO); Dong Luc Sports Group; HTP Pharmaceutical Investment Joint Stock Company; Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company; Sunshine Group; Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO); Faslink Joint Stock Company; 108 Central Military Hospital; 175 Military Hospital and a number of enterprises.

The tournament announcement press conference will take place on September 16 in Ho Chi Minh City. This will be followed by the Northern regional qualifying rounds, which will take place over three days from September 26 to 28; the Southern regional qualifying rounds will take place from October 9 to 12. The tournament will conclude with the national finals, held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 24 to 26.
