Determine the first team to be relegated

Sheffield became the first team to be relegated from the Premier League this season, after losing 1-5 to Newcastle. Coach Chris Wilder's team is at the bottom of the table with 16 points, 10 points behind safety Nottingham Forest with only 3 games left.

Sheffield have conceded 97 goals and could break Swidon's sad record of 100 goals conceded in the Premier League in the 1993/1994 season. In addition, Sheffield have a goal difference of -63 and could break Derby's worst goal difference record (-69) in the 2007/2008 season.

The relegation battle is now a three-horse race between Nottingham (26 points, 34 games) and Luton Town (25 points, 35 games) and Burnley (24 points, 35 games). Brentford have successfully stayed up with 35 points and 10 points above the relegation zone.
