Determine the next opponent of the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team

(Dan Tri) - The U21 Chile team defeated U21 Mexico, this result put Chile in the 17-20 ranking match with the U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team, at the 2025 U21 Women's World Cup.

In the 17-24 ranking match held on the evening of August 13, at the 2025 Women's U21 Volleyball World Cup in Indonesia, U21 Chile beat U21 Mexico 3-0.

This result puts the Chile U21 team into the 17-20 place match, against the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team. This match will take place on August 15.

Previously, the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team was supposed to participate in the round of 16 (for the 16 best teams of the tournament). However, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) unexpectedly canceled the results of 4 out of 5 matches of the Vietnam U21 team in the group stage because the Vietnam Volleyball Federation used an athlete who was not qualified to compete in the tournament.

This incident caused the Vietnam U21 women's team to be eliminated from the round of 16, falling to the qualifying round from 17th place and below. On the afternoon of August 13, the Vietnam U21 team excellently defeated the Egypt U21 team with a score of 3-1. If they beat the Chile U21 team on August 15, the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team will compete in the qualifying match from 17th to 18th place.

As for the U21 women's team of Chile, the volleyball background of this country is not too strong. The national women's team of Chile is ranked 55th in the world, and is not an insurmountable opponent for the representatives of Vietnamese women's volleyball.

Despite losing their place in the round of 16, the U21 Vietnamese volleyball players are still fighting bravely, determined not to falter in the face of adversity.
