On October 9, in Tuyen Hoa commune ( Quang Tri province), Song Gianh Cement Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Commune People's Committee to organize a scholarship awarding program for students with difficult circumstances in Bau, Bau 3, Cuong Trung, Cuong Trung C and Dong Tan villages.
Attending the program were representatives of SCG Group - Thailand; leaders of Song Gianh Cement Company; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee of Tuyen Hoa commune and the Board of Directors of Le Truc High School, Tien Hoa Middle School, Le Truc Primary School and many parents and students.



At the ceremony, 60 scholarships were awarded to poor but studious students, each including an SCG backpack worth 500,000 VND and 1 million VND in cash. Although the gifts are small, they are a great source of encouragement, helping the students to have more determination to excel in their studies and life.





At the program, Education and Times Newspaper also presented 10 bicycles worth a total of 20 million VND to students in difficult circumstances who lack means of transportation to school.



Speaking at the program, Mr. Thai Viet Tai, Deputy Director of Song Gianh Cement Company, said that this is an annual activity demonstrating the social responsibility of the enterprise, accompanying the locality in promoting education and talent.

On behalf of the local government, Mr. Nguyen Vu Thanh Long - Vice Chairman of Tuyen Hoa Commune People's Committee sent his thanks to SCG Group and Song Gianh Cement Company, and hoped that the students would continue to strive to study and become useful citizens for their homeland.
It is known that this is an annual activity of Song Gianh Cement Company for many years in the old Quang Binh province.
Every year, Song Gianh Cement Company allocates nearly 600 million VND to social security programs in the area. Song Gianh Company's activities are highly appreciated by local leaders and people.
