Yen Bai has over 4,000 hectares of medicinal plants.

Currently, the whole province has over 4,000 hectares of medicinal plants, with an output of 11,000 tons/year.

In recent years, Yen Bai province has focused on promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to develop medicinal plants, opening up a new direction for the local agricultural sector. With more than 4,000 hectares of medicinal plant growing area, output reaching 11,000 tons/year, Yen Bai province is gradually affirming its position on the map of medicinal plants in Vietnam.

The whole province currently has about 20 medicinal herb processing and trading establishments, of which 25 products meet OCOP standards, contributing to increasing the value of Yen Bai medicinal herbs in the market.

Not only developing production, Yen Bai province also focuses on supporting people through a policy of supporting 70% of the cost of buying seeds and fertilizers for new planting areas. At the same time, cooperatives and cooperative groups have also been established, helping people access advanced techniques, improving productivity and quality of crops.

With the close connection between farmers, businesses, the State and scientists, medicinal plants are becoming a sustainable livelihood, helping people increase their income, sustainably reduce poverty, and contribute to promoting local socio -economic development.
