Competition for architectural design of Rao 3 bridge over Lach Tray river

Hai Phong Department of Construction has just announced a competition for architectural designs for Rao 3 bridge over Lach Tray river.

Rao 3 bridge project across Lach Tray river belongs to the Investment Project to build a road connecting Rao 3 bridge to the coastal road, from Bui Vien street to provincial road 363.

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the preliminary selection of architectural plans for the Rao 3 bridge project across Lach Tray River is from September 23 to October 23, 2025. Applications must be submitted at the Office of the Department of Construction of Hai Phong City (building F + G, City Political - Administrative Center, Thuy Nguyen Ward).

The Organizing Committee will award 1 first prize worth 60 million VND, 1 second prize worth 40 million VND and 1 third prize worth 20 million VND for the most optimal architectural solutions, with feasibility in construction, efficiency in investment, operation and maintenance.

This will be an architectural highlight of the city, of great political and cultural significance, contributing to the completion of urban architecture, creating attractiveness and promoting the image of Hai Phong city to domestic and international tourists.

Rao 3 Bridge over Lach Tray River is expected to be about 1.8 km long, located in An Bien Ward and Hung Dao Ward. The design scale includes 6 motor lanes, 2 mixed lanes and pedestrian sidewalks on both sides.

The investment in the construction of Rao 3 bridge connecting the city center with the southern and southeastern localities of the city contributes to accelerating the process of forming a new modern urban axis supporting provincial roads 353 and 361; creating favorable conditions for the movement, transportation, and production of local people; reducing the load on the central urban area...

The project is invested from the city budget, expected to be built in the period 2025 - 2029.
