Loving the country through To Huu's poetry - Paying tribute to a poetic monument of the nation

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, emphasized: “To Huu is not only a staunch revolutionary but also a great cultural figure, the leading flag of Vietnamese revolutionary literature and art. He is a poet of the country, of the people, of the revolution”. His life and career have always been completely attached to the communist ideal, with the concept of “A hundred years of fate: Party and Poetry”.

The event is an opportunity to pay tribute to a "giant tree" of revolutionary poetry, and at the same time rekindle memories of a time when poetry became a spiritual weapon, nurturing faith and fostering the desire for independence and freedom.

During the program, the audience was moved to listen to stories and memories about the author of From That Time from the guests: Major General Ho Sy Hau, former Director of the Department of Economics of the Ministry of National Defense , Vice President of the Truong Son Association of Vietnam; poet Tran Dang Khoa; Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet, Vice President of the Truong Son Association, Head of the Liaison Committee of the Hanoi Truong Son Female Soldiers. In addition, the exhibition "Stamps and Poetry: To Huu's Imprints Through the Years" organized by the Museum in collaboration with the Viet Stamp Club brought a new perspective on a poetic life fully attached to the revolution and the people.

The event space is also imbued with art through calligraphy works and poetry exchanges, so that everyone can relive the spirit of "Since then, the summer sun has shone brightly in me/The sun of truth shines through my heart" . Mr. Nguyen Vu Phuong, the poet's son, said that this occasion also marks 5 years of operation of the To Huu Museum, which originated from a memorial house built by Mrs. Vu Thi Thanh, the poet's wife, in 2009. "This place has gradually become an extracurricular activity destination for many generations of students, contributing to spreading the love of poetry and revolutionary history", Mr. Nguyen Vu Phuong shared.

The 105th anniversary of To Huu's birth is an occasion to pay tribute to a poetic monument of the nation, recalling the period when poetry became a spiritual weapon, and at the same time affirming the lasting value of patriotic verses, which always live forever in the hearts of the people.
