On October 4, in Hai Phong, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City to direct; the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition chaired, coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong to organize the opening ceremony and award ceremony of the National Children's Painting Competition and Exhibition 2025.

Held every two years, this is a national children's art festival, affirming the role of art in aesthetic education and nurturing young talent. This year's competition is for children from 5 to 15 years old, with works created in the period 2023-2025, creating opportunities for them to express their passion and ability in painting.

The contest arouses passion for painting, encourages creative thinking, fosters artistic appreciation, and contributes to educating children's personality, confidence, and initiative. Not only is it an art playground, the event is also an environment for exchange, learning, and promoting the art movement inside and outside the school.

After more than three months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received nearly 30,000 entries from children from 32 provinces and cities. The Art Council selected 359 works from 332 authors for exhibition. Of these, 39 outstanding works were awarded, including 3 First prizes, 6 Second prizes, 10 Third prizes, 20 Encouragement prizes and 5 Collective prizes.
The exhibition works vividly express the love for family, homeland, nature and the innocent dreams of childhood, and at the same time reflect the social awareness of children on issues such as environmental protection, prevention of school violence, showing the concern of the young generation for the challenges of modern life. This result demonstrates the strong development of children's art, and at the same time affirms the attention of the Party, the State, all levels, sectors and the whole society in caring for and nurturing the artistic talents of the young generation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong congratulated the children who won prizes, as well as all the children who submitted their paintings to the contest this year. Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong affirmed that these are young artists full of talent and potential. The achievements are a worthy reward for their efforts and creativity, and at the same time a motivation for them to continue pursuing their passion for art, cultivating a beautiful soul and personality.
The exhibition takes place at the Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition (No. 1 Nguyen Duc Canh, Le Chan Ward, Hai Phong) until October 13. The works are also introduced online on the website ape.gov.vn for the public to enjoy.
