16 teams participate in the Central Agencies Open Football Tournament

On the morning of November 4, at Hoang Cau football field ( Hanoi ), the opening ceremony and kick-off of the group stage matches of the 24th Central Agencies Football Tournament for the People's Representative Newspaper Cup - 2023 were held.

The Central Agencies' Open Football Tournament for the People's Representative Newspaper Cup is held annually with the desire to create a healthy and useful playground, promote the sports movement, and improve the health of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of participating agencies and units.

In her opening speech, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representative Newspaper Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of the tournament's Organizing Committee, said that after 23 times of organization, the tournament has increasingly expanded in scale, constantly improving its quality and professionalism. The prize level has also been increased.

The Organizing Committee hopes that the teams and players uphold the noble sportsmanship spirit, compete with all their might, and give the audience good matches and beautiful goals; that the referees work responsibly, impartially, and objectively; that the fans cheer enthusiastically and energetically, and support the players, contributing to the overall success of the tournament.

The 16 teams participating in this year's tournament are divided into 4 groups.

Candidates for this year's championship are familiar names such as the team of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment , Vietnam Television, the Office of the National Assembly... However, teams participating in the tournament for the first time such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises will be unknown.

The 2023 Central Agencies Football Tournament for the People's Representative Newspaper Cup will take place until November 25.
