31 provinces and cities signed to build a cancer prevention network

In recent times, the health departments of provinces and cities in these regions have increased the sharing of ideas, methods and solutions to help the development of the local health system become unified, synchronous and convenient, towards the ultimate goal of providing better health care for the people.

According to the plan, the network is meant to take care of patients from early screening at the asymptomatic stage, early detection of suspected signs of cancer, accurate and timely diagnosis of cancer, multi-modal treatment... to end-stage care, palliative treatment in the community. In particular, the network is built according to 3 levels of technical expertise: initial level, basic level, and advanced level. The Department of Health of each province and city, based on the actual situation in the locality, proactively determines the level of technical expertise that needs to be strengthened and developed in the period from now to 2030; periodically reports on the interim results and shares the progress of implementing the content.

During the implementation process, based on the situation and actual needs of localities, the Ho Chi Minh City health sector is the focal point for adjusting, supplementing and perfecting the plan to develop a regional cancer prevention network.
