Runner-up Hoang Thuy covered herself in gold in Shanghai

Runner-up Hoang Thuy spent about an hour covering herself in gold, preparing for her performance at Shanghai Fashion Week.

On the afternoon of October 13, runner-up Hoang Thuy took on the role of vedette for designer Thanh Huong Bui's Manifeste collection at Shanghai Fashion Week (China).

To prepare for this performance, Hoang Thuy had to stand for about an hour while her colleagues covered her body in gold, before putting on her performance outfit.

Hoang Thuy's outfit was inspired by designer Thanh Huong Bui's collection name, Manifeste - expressing personality and fashion statements.

The designer used elastic zinc form for the entire outfit. Hundreds of 3D flowers were meticulously handcrafted and attached to the zinc form, creating flexibility with each step. The confident and attractive performance of runner-up Hoang Thuy made the audience unable to take their eyes off.

The design has a dominant gold color combined with gold plating technique to make the outfit more sparkling.

Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 Le Hoang Phuong opened this collection with a brilliant yellow design. The outfit was inspired by the art of bamboo combined with traditional paper making. Thanh Huong Bui also created a 3D form, decorated with raised flowers with beads and gold plating.

The main colors used are yellow, red and black. Every detail is meticulously crafted to convey a message about Vietnamese culture. The design also shows the harmony between tradition and modernity.

The highlight of the Manifeste collection is the ao dai design on a lacquer painting background, the combination of the yếm and the ao dai collar creates a beauty that is both classic and modern. In addition, Thanh Huong Bui also has a design inspired by Vietnamese bamboo combined with hand-spinning techniques.
