Impressive closing night of Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024

On the evening of June 12, at Kien Trung Palace ( Hue Imperial City), the closing art program of Hue Festival 2024 took place. With the theme "About Hue Festival", the closing art program to conclude the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 was elaborately staged, with 10 unique performances, combined with artistic fireworks.

The performances interweave and resonate between tradition and modernity, along with the application of modern 3D Mapping technology, promising to create an attractive and memorable artistic feast for viewers on the night of saying goodbye and seeing each other again in the next Hue Festivals.

The closing program gathered nearly 400 artists, professional and non-professional actors from domestic art troupes, such as: Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater, Quang Tri Traditional Arts Troupe, Kontum Art Troupe, Unity Hue Dance Troupe, Alexander Tu Dance Troupe, Vietnam Circus Federation, singers Van Khanh, Phong Thuy, Thanh Lan... and international art troupes: SaeNyuk Folk Art Troupe of Korea, Zhejiang Drama Department of China.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, emphasized: "It is the convergence of cultures at the Hue International Festival Week 2024 with the unique features of each country placed in the relationship of exchange, solidarity, integration and development, that has brought new vitality to the ancient capital of Hue, affirming its position as a typical Festival city of Vietnam, a unique cultural and tourism center of the country and the region. Tonight's art program with the theme "About Hue Festival" is the event that closes the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 so that we can start a series of art events in the Autumn and Winter festivals, demonstrating the consistent and continuous spirit of Hue Festival 2024; this is also a thank you to friends near and far who have come to the ancient capital to join in the moments of the Festival Week atmosphere".

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, from June 7 to June 12, 2024 (7 days); the total number of visitors to Thua Thien Hue is estimated at 101,000, revenue from tourism services is estimated at 159 billion VND. The number of guests staying is estimated at 49,000 (including nearly 9,310 international guests), the average hotel room occupancy rate is 70%. On June 7, 8, 11 and 12, many hotels in the center of Hue city reached 80-90% occupancy.
