Musician The Hien, author of Wild Orchid Branch, has just passed away.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association told Tuoi Tre Online that musician The Hien passed away on the evening of October 1, after being treated at Military Hospital 175 that same afternoon.

On the evening of October 1, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association said that musician The Hien passed away at 9:15 p.m. on October 1.

On the afternoon of October 1, musician The Hien's family saw that he was tired so they took him to Military Hospital 175 for emergency treatment. The medical team diagnosed musician The Hien's condition as acute respiratory failure.

Previously, around August 2024, musician The Hien was hospitalized and treated at Military Hospital 175 after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

After a period of treatment, musician Nhanh Lan Rung's health gradually recovered, he was discharged from the hospital and treated at home.

Musician The Hien was born in 1955, from Nam Dinh . He started composing in 1982.

Up to now, after more than 40 years of artistic activities, musician The Hien has made many contributions to the country's music industry.

He is one of the musicians who regularly sings for soldiers and youth volunteers...

His famous compositions are loved by many people such as: Wild orchid branch, Chicken tail hair, Singing about you, Volunteer youth march, Truong Sa island soldiers...

The musician has many good compositions about Uncle Ho's soldiers and often performs on business trips to Truong Sa, so he is affectionately called "the soldier's musician".

More than two years ago, musician The Hien released the collection Hat ve anh - Nhanh lan rung consisting of 40 songs. Of which, 32 songs were written about the armed forces and 8 songs were about love for the homeland.
