[Photo] Bustling Mid-Autumn Festival in the ancient citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai

On the evening of October 4, Son Tay ward (Hanoi) organized the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai" in 2025. The program was held in the walking street space around Son Tay Ancient Citadel to contribute to promoting tourism and culture of Xu Doai to visitors.

In the first year of implementing the two-level local government model, Son Tay ward organized a mid-autumn lantern model competition for 57 residential groups in the area.

Mid-Autumn lantern models are modeled after historical figures, folk legends, favorite animals in fairy tales and fables, as well as images considered cultural symbols and typical products of Son Tay-Xu Doai.

Leaders of the City Party Committee, City People's Council and leaders of departments and branches of Hanoi city celebrated the full moon festival with children of Son Tay ward.

Joining the festival with the people and children of Son Tay ward were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi Pham Thi Thanh Mai and many tourists .
This activity contributes to recreating, preserving, promoting traditional cultural values ​​and restoring the beauty of the old Hanoi Mid-Autumn Festival, creating a cultural space and tourist destination for the people of Son Tay and neighboring areas.

At the festival, city delegates and leaders of Son Tay ward presented 57 gifts to disadvantaged teenagers and children in the area; awarded prizes to teams that won first, second, third, and encouragement prizes in the Mid-Autumn Lantern Competition.
