On the evening of October 10 (local time), at the Imperial Citadel Event Center (Prague), the special fashion -art program "Autumn in nostalgia" took place in a solemn and cozy atmosphere, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).
The event was co-organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in the Czech Republic, the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, the Vietnamese Literature and Arts Association in the Czech Republic in collaboration with Meritorious Artist - Designer Lan Huong (from Vietnam).
The program gathered the participation of the Vietnam Women's Union in Europe, the Council of Ladies, along with many beauty queens, runners-up and charitable beauties of the European Ladies Ao Dai pageants of all periods. Their presence brought diverse colors, contributing to honoring Vietnamese beauty and strengthening the solidarity of the Vietnamese community in Europe.
Inspired by Hanoi in Autumn and the colors of Hanoi flowers, the program introduces unique ao dai collections by designer Lan Huong, symbolizing the charm, elegance and depth of Vietnamese culture.
Each Ao Dai is an artistic slice of Hanoi - a place with early flower vendors, small streets covered in autumn mist and a simple, lyrical beauty that has become a memory in the hearts of many generations of Vietnamese people.
In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Dieu Linh - Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in the Czech Republic - expressed her emotion when attending the program, and was honored to welcome Ao Dai artisan Lan Huong with designs bearing the imprint of Hanoi space.
She emphasized that the tea-drinking space is a unique cultural highlight, contributing to creating a connection between art and life.
"The program is not only a cultural activity to celebrate the homeland on the occasion of the Capital Liberation Day, but also a bridge to help the Vietnamese community in Europe become more connected, proud and continue to preserve and spread Vietnamese cultural values in other countries," she shared.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Hoang Dinh Thang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, highly appreciated the contributions of designer Lan Huong and the associations in building programs rich in cultural values, contributing to strengthening the great solidarity of the Vietnamese community in Europe, while promoting the image of Vietnam in a sophisticated, modern way but still imbued with national identity.
"This is an activity of special significance for the overseas Vietnamese community, contributing to maintaining and promoting Vietnamese cultural identity abroad," he emphasized.
Representative of the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association in the Czech Republic, Mr. Pham Gia Hau - Head of the Organizing Committee - said that the event was the result of the spirit of unity and solidarity between Vietnamese associations in the Czech Republic and Europe.
“Every year, we organize the Hanoi Cultural Space as an opportunity for people far from home to come together to the capital - the heart of the country. This year, the program has been expanded so that the audience can admire more cultural spaces, helping the young generation of Vietnamese people born abroad understand more about their homeland and the origin of national culture,” he shared.

In a space imbued with Hanoi's culture, audiences can also enjoy traditional dishes such as sausage sandwiches, peanut candy, fried cakes, sweet soup, and sticky rice with peanuts - familiar flavors that remind them of their homeland, completing the experience of Vietnamese culture in the heart of Europe.
For Vietnamese people living far from home, Hanoi is not only a place name, but also a land of memories and a source of love. “Autumn in memories” is therefore not only a night of art performance, but also a journey back in spirit, where those living far from home send their love and pride towards the Capital on this important anniversary.
The program ended with warm applause from the audience - Vietnamese people living in Europe. More than just a performance, "Autumn in nostalgia" has aroused love for the homeland, national pride and honored the beauty of the Vietnamese ao dai, a symbol of Vietnamese culture and soul./.
