Material and spiritual care for female workers
On the morning of October 5, at Tu Son Stadium (Tu Son Ward), the Provincial Labor Federation opened the first Provincial Men's and Women's Football Tournament for Workers in 2025. Hundreds of workers, union officials, and representatives of enterprises participated in the competition and cheered, including the coaching staff and members of 8 women's football teams. Bui Yen Nhi, a worker at Fuyu Precision Co., Ltd. (Quang Chau Industrial Park), happily said: "I have participated in 3 seasons of union football tournaments. Every time I get to play, I am very excited, hoping to score many goals and help the team achieve good results. What makes me happiest is to interact with workers from many other enterprises in the province."

Collective activities organized have helped female workers to be more motivated and confident in their work and life. This is one of the contents of the innovation in women's work methods that provincial trade unions at all levels have implemented, along with other activities such as taking care of life, propagating the law, training to improve skills, etc. Thanks to that, women's work in enterprises has had many positive changes. Over 70% of current collective labor agreements have provisions that prioritize female workers, which are more beneficial than the regulations such as: supporting childcare, improving the quality of shift meals, supplementing leave for pregnant and nursing female workers, and organizing periodic reproductive health check-ups.
Ms. Pham Thi Minh Nguyet, Chairwoman of the Hong Hai Science and Technology Group Trade Union, said: “At Foxconn factories in Bac Ninh, female workers enjoy special benefits such as: Additional days off for female workers who are pregnant or raising children under 12 months old, childcare support policies; improving the quality of meals, having separate meals for pregnant female workers; regular health check-ups; having resting rooms and milking-storage rooms, some factories arrange separate spaces for female workers with young children to use...”
Hosiden Limited Liability Company (Quang Chau Industrial Park) has the main business of manufacturing electronic components, female workers account for 63% of the total workforce with more than 5 thousand people. Talking about the benefits and welfare, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Duyen, a worker at Goertek Vina Limited Liability Company (Que Vo Industrial Park) confided: "In addition to the state's benefits, the company has many practical activities such as giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, organizing cultural and sports exchange activities, honoring exemplary workers... Due to the nature of working with electronic components and small operations, the Company arranges a break area to rotate between shifts to reduce eye and hand fatigue for workers."
Affirming the role of female workers in enterprises
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: “The Provincial Federation of Labor always pays attention to directing grassroots trade unions, especially enterprise trade unions, to do a good job in women's work. In particular, focusing on activities of propaganda, mobilization, and support for women to participate in solving social issues related to female workers, especially issues of life, employment, and gender equality. The emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" continues to be promoted, creating strong changes among female workers in enterprises."

In the period of 2020-2025, the movement "Good at public work, good at housework" continues to spread with the emulation activities "Good worker" and "Creative worker". Every year, over 95% of female workers and civil servants register to strive for the title, of which more than 92% complete their tasks well. Not only affirming their professional capacity, the female workforce also plays an important role in building a prosperous and happy family, raising obedient and studious children. Thousands of women have been recognized and rewarded, many female union member families have become typical examples in the movements "Cultural family", "5 no, 3 clean".
Along with taking care of the lives of female workers, propaganda, education and improving the qualifications of female workers are also focused on. From 2020 to now, more than 656 thousand female workers have been propagandized about the law, more than 20 thousand women have received professional and technical training. The proportion of female workers with university and college degrees accounts for 30%, secondary school 20%, the remaining 50% have received vocational training, showing the clear maturity of the female workforce.
In addition, many social and humanitarian programs have been widely implemented: Fund for poor female workers, scholarships for children of female union members who have overcome difficulties to study well, thousands of Tet gifts for workers in difficult circumstances. Models of reproductive health clubs, family planning or "Job Fairs" have truly become spiritual supports, helping female workers feel secure in their long-term commitment to the enterprise.
With many innovative and creative ways, women's work in enterprises in Bac Ninh province has been making an important contribution to building a female workforce, meeting the increasingly high demands of the province's increasingly strong industrialization and modernization.
