In My Thai commune, the inspection team of Duc Mai drainage culvert is responsible for draining water for an 8,000-hectare basin; inspecting the work of overcoming and repairing flooding incidents at Duong Duc drainage pumping station, which consists of 6 units with a flow rate of 1,000 m3/unit/hour, responsible for draining more than 500 hectares of cultivated land in My Thai commune; surveying some landslides and overflowing areas along the 7-km-long Thuong - Duong Duc dike.
According to the report of the Civil Defense Command of My Thai commune, due to the impact of storm No. 11, the dike system and irrigation works of the commune suffered a lot of damage. Specifically, 18m of level 3 dike collapsed in Cong Phen village, 120m of Dam Nung dike collapsed in Thuan village, Mo Mom dike overflowed in Le hamlet, 800m of level 3 dike overflowed in Duong Quan Thuong village, 30m of Duc Tho dike collapsed and 120m of Chi Le dike overflowed.

The incidents of dikes and irrigation works arising in My Thai commune were handled immediately. Currently, the commune's Civil Defense Command is reviewing and proposing an estimated cost of approximately 210 billion VND for repair and restoration.
In Tien Luc commune, the delegation inspected the landslide situation at the left dike from Dong Son bridge to Ben Tuan bridge.
Due to the impact of rain and floods from storm No. 11, 60% of the commune's area was flooded. The dike sections in the commune were broken with a total length of 226 m; the dike sections were eroded with a total length of nearly 1.5 km.

Immediately after the flood receded, the Commune Civil Defense Command directed a review and proposed plans to quickly repair and fix broken dikes, landslides, termite nests on the dike body, and reinforce and fill in broken points... In the long term, the commune proposed the Provincial People's Committee to solidify and expand 15 km of the left Thuong dike from Dong Son bridge to Ben Tuan with a total cost of nearly 220 billion VND.
At the inspection sites, comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan praised the forces for promptly responding to incidents and quickly overcoming the damage caused by floods. He highly appreciated the Department of Agriculture and Environment and related sectors, and the commune authorities for their efforts in mobilizing local forces and materials to focus on overcoming incidents from the first hour, ensuring the safety of the dike system in the whole province.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that the dyke system and irrigation works play a particularly important role in the overall economic and social development of the province, including urban areas, industrial parks, residential areas and people's production activities. He requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to focus on reviewing and developing a plan to renovate, upgrade, overcome and repair specific and detailed incidents before October 30 to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.
Agreeing with the proposals and recommendations of the localities, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to recommend to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to have a comprehensive technical solution in implementing projects to repair and upgrade the dyke system in combination with traffic projects to both meet flood prevention requirements and facilitate people's travel. In the process of implementing technical infrastructure projects, traffic projects need to have an agreement with the Department of Agriculture and Environment on a drainage plan suitable to current requirements.
