Nha Trang beach is clear after the sea barrier was removed

After nearly 2 years, Khanh Hoa province has reclaimed all land for the Nha Trang sea barrier project, gradually returning public space to the people.

Evason Ana Mandara Resort Project (east of Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward) taken in July 2022 and October 2025 - after Khanh Hoa Province reclaimed part of the land area and dismantled the items.

In 1995, Khanh Hoa province leased more than 28,000m2 of land and 10,000m2 of sea water on the shore of Nha Trang Bay to Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited to implement the Evason Ana Mandara Resort project.

After that, Khanh Hoa province had a policy to reclaim the entire area of ​​the project, returning the sea surface to serve the community.

To encourage investors to relocate, the locality assigned Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited the land plot at Bai Dai in Cam Lam commune to build a new business location.

In 2020, the locality decided to reclaim 10,000 square meters of sea surface from the resort to make a public beach.

But the land acquisition and project clearance from Nha Trang beach have been delayed many times by the enterprise, requiring extensions.

By February 2023, the company will begin demolishing structures at the resort on Tran Phu Street.

In early 2024, dozens of items of the resort were demolished by Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited.

Also during this time, Khanh Hoa province reclaimed 20,000m2 from the enterprise and extended 8,000m2 until the end of 2024.

After the resort was demolished, Nha Trang beach became clear and the sea view was improved.

Residents and tourists can go straight from Tran Phu street to the beach, without having to go around the resort like before.

In June 2025, the locality received an additional 6,200 square meters of land along 90 meters of coastline, bringing the total recovered area of ​​the project to more than 26,200 square meters .

The company still retains more than 1,800 square meters to maintain business operations on Nha Trang beach.

At the end of August 2025, Nha Trang Ward People's Committee notified Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited about the revocation of more than 1,800 m2 of remaining land of this project.

Thus, after nearly 30 years, Khanh Hoa province has completed the recovery of the entire area of ​​the Nha Trang sea barrier project for renovation and public service.

Part of the land recovered from the Evason Ana Mandara project has also been partially renovated by the local authorities to become a parking lot.

According to the urban concept design of the east side of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong street approved by Khanh Hoa province, this area will form a park with an exit to the sea, retaining maximum existing green space and adding utility works.
