Girl discovers large tumor during general health check

On October 1, Thu Duc General Hospital announced that it had successfully operated on a case of a large tumor in the head of the pancreas. The patient, Ms. LTKT (25 years old, residing in Long Truong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), discovered the tumor during a routine general health check-up.

At Thu Duc General Hospital, doctors confirmed there was a tumor in the patient's abdomen. CT and MRI scans showed a tumor in the head of the pancreas but no signs of invasion.

The patient is stable after surgery to remove a tumor in the head of the pancreas.

On September 20, the pancreaticoduodenal resection surgery was performed successfully, removing the tumor.

According to Dr. Mai Hoa, Deputy Director of Thu Duc General Hospital, the surgery helps prevent the risk of tumor growth and invasion, improving the patient's long-term health prognosis.
