Arab newspaper highly appreciates the talent of coach Philippe Troussier and the Vietnamese team.

The Arab newspaper Al Jazeera commented on the strength of the teams in Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup. In particular, they highly appreciated the Vietnamese team.

At the 2023 Asian Cup, the Vietnamese team is in Group D with Indonesia, Japan, and Iraq. This is not an easy group for the "Golden Dragons". Al Jazeera has commented on the strength of the teams in this group.

In which, the Arab newspaper highly appreciated the strength of the Vietnamese team.

Al Jazeera commented: "The Vietnamese team aims to go far in the 2023 Asian Cup. The team's best achievement in this tournament is reaching the semi-finals (2007 and 2019). However, they want to do more than that.

Leading the team is the famous coach Philippe Troussier. In the past, he has coached many teams such as Japan, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Morocco and Qatar. He helped the Japanese team win the 2000 Asian Cup.

Coach Troussier's experience in top-level competition is a valuable gift for the Vietnam team. He will pass on that experience to his students."

Al Jazeera commented on Indonesia's strength: "The Indonesian team will be participating in the Asian Cup finals for the first time in 16 years. The last time they participated as hosts was in 2007. In the past, the team from the archipelago has never passed the Asian Cup group stage after 4 times participating.

Not only that, the Indonesian team has a rather modest position on the FIFA rankings, ranked 146th in the world . Coach Shin Tae Yong's experience can help Indonesia create a surprise at the 2023 Asian Cup. However, it can be said that this is a team with great ambitions but limited capacity."

At the 2023 Asian Cup, the Vietnamese team is in Group D with Japan, Iraq and Indonesia. In the upcoming tournament, Coach Troussier's team will meet Japan (18:30 on January 14, 2024), Indonesia (21:30 on January 19, 2024), Iraq (18:30 on January 24, 2024).
