During her working trip to Bulgaria, on September 30, at the headquarters of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang had a working session with Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolay Pavlov to discuss cooperation between the two countries and the two Foreign Ministries.
At the meeting, the two sides informed each other about the situation in each country. Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang congratulated Bulgaria on its recent achievements in development and European integration, successfully joining the Schengen Agreement on freedom of movement in Europe and expected to join the Eurozone in early 2026.
Bulgaria is close to completing its European integration process with accession to the OECD next year, Deputy Minister Nikolay Pavlov said.
Expressing his impression of Vietnam's socio -economic development achievements and assessing Vietnam as a potential market for Bulgaria and the EU, Deputy Minister Nikolay Pavlov affirmed that Bulgaria always attaches importance to developing relations with Vietnam, Bulgaria's leading important partner in the region.
The two sides agreed that the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries have developed well in recent times. The two sides have exchanged many high-level delegations through State and National Assembly channels, closely coordinated and supported each other at multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations and within the ASEAN-EU framework.
The two sides have also organized many diverse activities to practically celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2025. Cooperation in the fields of trade - investment, education - training, science - technology, defense - security, culture, labor, tourism and people-to-people exchange... have all developed positively.
The two sides emphasized close coordination in preparation for high-level visits to enhance political trust and promote cooperation in new areas such as high technology, innovation, human resource training in the fields of artificial intelligence and supercomputers, database connection, defense-security industry, automobile industry, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, etc., contributing to bringing bilateral relations to a new level.
