In the early morning of September 16, Indonesian goalkeeper Emil Audero had an excellent performance to help Cremonese Club hold the home team Verona to a 0-0 draw in round 3 of Serie A.

In this match, the 28-year-old goalkeeper made 9 saves, helping him receive a score of 9.2.

With that impressive achievement, Emil Audero has risen to the top of the list of goalkeepers with the most saves in Serie A with a total of 17 successful saves after three rounds, according to statistics from Kickest.

Audero surpassed many other big names such as David de Gea (Fiorentina) with 13 saves. Third place belongs to Torino's Franco Israel with 12 times, while Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki is fourth with 11 saves.

Emil Audero's brilliant form has been one of the main reasons why Cremonese have made such a strong start to the season. After three games, they have picked up seven points and are currently top of the table.

The opportunity for Cremonese to continue their impressive streak is wide open as their next two opponents are quite equal, Parma and Como.

Currently, Audero is still on the payroll of Como Club and is playing for Cremonese on loan.

Emil Audero was born in Mataram, Indonesia to an Indonesian father and an Italian mother. Audero moved to Italy as a child and grew up in the prestigious Juventus academy.

The goalkeeper born in 1997 has represented Italy at all youth levels, from U15 to U21. For many years, he and his family had hoped that he would be called up to the Italian national team.

However, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has been pursuing Audero for a long time. After a period of consideration, he was convinced by the seriousness of PSSI. Audero decided to choose to wear the shirt of his homeland. He officially regained Indonesian citizenship on March 10, 2025.

Audero made his debut for the Indonesian national team on June 5, 2025, in a 2026 World Cup Asian qualifier against China.
