On September 29, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh had a talk about Vietnam's great strides - the revolution in streamlining the political system's organizational apparatus, merging administrative units, organizing 2-level local governments and breaking through in developing the private economy in the spirit of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TU of the Politburo with nearly 100 students of the School of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University, one of the leading and oldest research universities in Thailand.
Introducing the heroic and glorious history of the Vietnamese people through the screening of a documentary film about the 80 years of building and developing the country at the event "The Big Move in Vietnam", Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh highlighted the great achievements of the country after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi and affirmed that this is an important basis for Vietnam to continue to carry out reforms and innovations and create important changes to meet the development requirements in the new period, creating a foundation to bring the country into an era of strong development, realizing the nation's aspirations for prosperity and strength.

Regarding the reform of the political system's organizational structure, merging 63 provinces and cities into 34 provincial-level administrative units and organizing two-level local governments, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh analyzed that it is not just a mechanical reduction and change in the administrative map, but a strong move to comprehensively restructure to change the way of managing and serving people and businesses, building a streamlined, modern administration with the capacity to take advantage of opportunities in the new era of development.
The goals include: Saving the state budget, cutting administrative costs for people and businesses; organizing a streamlined, efficient, effective, and efficient local government, reducing intermediate levels, meeting the requirements of professional and modern governance; ensuring a transparent, unified, and smooth administration, in line with world trends; demonstrating the determination to innovate, improve the quality of public services, promote digital transformation, create innovation momentum and increase the trust of people, businesses and international friends; expanding development space, promoting the potential advantages of localities, focusing resources on serving fast and sustainable socio -economic development, towards socio-economic development goals: by 2030, Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045, it will become a developed country with high income.
Resolution 68-NQ/TU marks a historic step forward, identifying the private economy as the most important driving force of the national economy. This is a revolution in thinking and institutions, proactively designing and creating a favorable environment for development, so that the economic flow circulates naturally, faster, and in the right direction. The Resolution affirms the leadership role of the Party, the creation role of the State, taking enterprises as the center and subject, and at the same time proposes 08 groups of tasks and key solutions for private economic development.

Assessing that the Vietnam-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has opened a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh believes that Vietnam entering an era of strong and prosperous development will also create many opportunities for increasingly favorable cooperation in all fields between Vietnam and Thailand.
The talk attracted the attention of Thai lecturers and students, suggesting many contents on private economic development policies, solutions to maintain sustainable growth, and development prospects of Vietnamese localities. The program introducing Vietnam organized by Khon Kaen University in collaboration with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day in Thailand.
