Lyndon Raynor, a risk management officer, said there were no reports of serious incidents or major property damage, just flooding calls. Rainfall had reached 150 mm and more was expected as the storm continued to move.

According to the US National Weather Service, Hurricane Ernesto was moving about 135 km north-northeast of Bermuda and was expected to continue moving further. The storm's maximum sustained winds reached 120 km/h and was expected to maintain that intensity for the next 48 hours before weakening.

Michael Weeks, Bermuda's Minister of National Security, said that while the storm is ending, residents need to remain vigilant. The power company BELCO said the storm caused power outages across the island, with about 25,800 customers still without power as of Saturday afternoon.
