Indonesian newspaper reacts when Xuan Son reports bad news

(Dan Tri) - Indonesian media has reacted when striker Xuan Son has to rest until the end of 2025 due to injury.

As known, in the press conference before the National Super Cup match yesterday (August 5), Coach Vu Hong Viet confirmed that striker Xuan Son was not registered in the first leg of the V-League. Instead, this player can only appear in the second leg.

Commenting on this information, Indonesia's Football5star newspaper wrote: "After winning the Southeast Asian U23 championship with U23 Vietnam, coach Kim Sang Sik received bad news about the Vietnamese team.

Brazilian-born naturalized striker Xuan Son has been confirmed to be out of action for a long time. He played a key role in helping the Vietnamese team win the recent AFF Cup. The striker broke his leg in the match against Thailand and had to undergo surgery.

However, after 7 months since that day, Xuan Son's condition has not improved. Initially, this player was expected to return in September and October. However, the star born in 1997 has not been able to return yet. Coach Vu Hong Viet even confirmed that this player can only return early next year.
