Viettel is ready to respond to information and strengthen infrastructure.

Forecast, storm No. 10 will move along the coast from Da Nang to the North, by 4 p.m. in the sea area of Nghe An - Quang Tri, with the strongest wind at level 12-13, gusting to level 16. Keeping its direction and speed at 30 km/h, the storm will then enter this area, causing a level 4 disaster risk on a scale of 5.

In response to this situation, Viettel has deployed comprehensive response measures to protect the network and ensure stable service for customers. In 10 coastal provinces directly affected, Viettel has organized a review and inspection of BTS stations, prepared thousands of generators and backup fiber optic cables, and reinforced all antenna columns, reduced the load, fixed the cable lines, upgraded the transmission source and added batteries to the stations to increase resilience in case of grid power outages.

Viettel has also assessed provinces and areas likely to be affected by storm circulation, forecasting heavy rain to ensure on-site response plans in landslide, flood and isolation areas.

To support the Government 's command centers and provinces in carrying out information response and search and rescue work, Viettel has prepared satellite phone systems, mobile broadcasting vehicles and special solutions such as drones to connect fiber optic cables through areas isolated by floods and landslides.

To date, more than 470 information response teams have been mobilized from all provinces and cities across the country, ready to support the provinces most severely affected by Typhoon Bualoi. These teams are organized into specific professional groups, such as BTS stations, fixed broadband and electromechanical, ensuring quick and effective handling.

In addition, Viettel applies AI to operations, continuously updates the network status, and displays it clearly from the commander to the direct staff, helping to significantly reduce troubleshooting time, with an average service recovery time of 30% faster than before.

Plan 24/7 customer care and support

Viettel plans to send warning messages to more than 8 million customers in affected provinces, advising people to fully charge their devices, prepare food and water, check for safe places to stay and limit travel during the storm to ensure their safety and maintain uninterrupted communication. Viettel will continue to deploy solutions to support customers with communication packages and free charging points according to the actual situation in the provinces.

Viettel's customer care system has also been supplemented with additional staff, receiving incident information and supporting customers 24/7.

For goods transported during the storm, Viettel Post has raised the goods and moved them to higher places to avoid flooding and water seepage. Customers will be notified of the order status and the possibility of delays due to the storm.

"Assessing this as a strong storm, right after storm No. 9, so the damage could be great, Viettel has now developed a plan 4 on the spot to be ready to respond to storm No. 10. The goal is to use all solutions to ensure signal for the Government's command posts, provinces and Viettel's command posts to serve the storm response operations, ensuring the fastest communication support for the people," said Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group.
