On the afternoon of October 3, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Province Police issued a decision to prosecute, execute an arrest warrant to detain and search the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, former Director of the former Binh Thuan General Hospital.

The defendants were temporarily detained to investigate signs of the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" related to the bidding package for the procurement of medical equipment, prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic , procurement of Real-time PCR testing systems and consumables of Viet A Technology Joint Stock Company and Hop Nhat Science Limited Liability Company.

Previously, on May 20, the Investigation Police Agency of the former Binh Thuan Provincial Police Department issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case that occurred at the Provincial General Hospital and the former Binh Thuan Provincial Center for Disease Control.
