(NLDO) - At the Quang Nam Province Elephant Reserve, in addition to the growing herd of eight elephants, there are also many other rare animal species.
The Quang Nam Elephant Species and Habitat Conservation Area covers an area of nearly 19,000 hectares, located in Que Lam and Phuoc Ninh communes (formerly Nong Son district, now Que Son district, Quang Nam province). The conservation area currently has a herd of 8 wild elephants living there, which are strictly protected.

In addition to protecting this rare elephant herd, the Quang Nam Elephant Species and Habitat Conservation Area Management Board also has the task of strengthening the protection of endemic animal species from illegal exploitation and hunting, and restoring the natural habitat and biodiversity of native animals and plants.
