Closing ceremony of the Sports Festival to welcome the Congress of Delegates of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central Organizations

The sports festival to welcome the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Organizations, term 2025-2030 attracted the participation of 313 athletes with 137 exciting and cohesive competitions.

On the afternoon of September 27, in Hanoi , the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held the closing ceremony of the Sports Festival to welcome the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, term 2025-2030.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vietnam Women's Union, Vietnam Farmers' Union, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , Department of Physical Training and Sports...

The sports festival gathered 313 athletes from 12 delegations (including party committees and branches under the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central organizations and the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) to compete for two days (September 20-21) with 137 exciting matches.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, presented awards to the winners of the mixed doubles table tennis event.

In his closing speech, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparation and management work of the Organizing Committee; the responsible and effective coordination of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ba Dinh Sports Center; and the enthusiastic participation of units, athletes and fans.

Not only a sports playground, the sports festival is also an opportunity to connect cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole bloc. Thereby, promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho, contributing to building a working environment of "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Innovation - Development".

"I hope the physical training movement will continue to be maintained regularly, contributing to improving health and spirit to successfully complete professional tasks in each agency and unit," comrade Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang presented a special prize to comrade Do Van Chien.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of more than 30 sets of medals to successful groups and individuals.

In addition to the professional medals, the sports festival also awarded the following thematic prizes: The oldest athlete was awarded to Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, 79 years old (Party Committee of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations); The delegation with the most athletes participating: Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with 80 athletes.

Before the closing ceremony, comrade Do Van Chien played table tennis with the winning athletes. The organizing committee also awarded the Special Prize to comrade Do Van Chien as a gratitude for his attention and guidance for the sports training movement in the Fatherland Front and mass organizations.
