
The project is sponsored by Save the Children International, the Provincial Women's Union is the project owner and the Provincial Women's Support Center is the direct implementing unit.
With a total budget of nearly 13 billion VND, the Project is implemented in 22 schools affected by natural disasters, especially by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) in 2024 in Yen Bai city, Tran Yen district and Van Yen district of Yen Bai province before the merger.

After 6 months, up to now, the Project has: organized 11 training courses on organizing communication activities on clean water, sanitation and disaster risk reduction for students; consulted on safe school frameworks for nearly 720 teachers; organized 47 propaganda sessions to improve knowledge and skills for students on personal hygiene and disaster risk reduction for nearly 10,600 students; provided hundreds of teaching equipment such as refrigerators, televisions, tables and chairs, bookshelves, projectors, toys...; repaired clean water and sanitation facilities, built new small facilities for 22 schools; printed nearly 1,800 documents, handbooks, and teaching and learning posters on climate change response propaganda.

At the conference, delegates discussed the activities and impacts of the Project on teachers, students, schools and communities; and acted out several hypothetical scenarios of natural disaster prevention and control such as storms, floods, landslides, etc.

Through its activities, the project has contributed to improving the quality of learning, increasing access to technology and modern learning methods for schools. At the same time, it has comprehensively developed students' physical, skills and spirit.
